401(K)
401(K) plans are designed for businesses electing to have employees share responsibility for retirement savings. With features such as availability of loans and hardship withdrawals, the 401(K) is one of the most flexible retirement plans available. As a result of these extra features, however, a 401(K) plan requires thorough administration.

Benefits:

  • Allows employees to make annual pretax, salary-deferral contributions
  • Additional “catch-up” contributions may be made by participants age 50 and older
  • Optional employer-matching contributions
  • Loans and hardship withdrawals may be available
  • Vesting Schedule is available
  • Part-time and seasonal workers (fewer than 1000 hours) may be excluded because of eligibility requirements.

Other plans include:
Safe Harbor 401(K)
Profit-Sharing
Individual 401(K)
Age-Weighted Profit Sharing
New Comparability
Super Comparability
Defined-Benefit
Money Purchase

Group Life & Disability Insurance
Group disability insurance pays a benefit in the event you are disabled while you are insured. The complete benefit design depends on the plan design your employer or sponsoring organization has selected.

Your employer or sponsoring organization will be able to provide you with the exact plan design. This will include all benefits, plan limits, exclusions and rights you have under the policy.

The most important elements of disability insurance include:

  • Benefit period – how long benefits are paid
  • Percentage of pay the benefit will represent (in some plan designs a flat benefit amount takes the place of a percentage of pay)
  • Elimination period – the amount of time you must be unable to work before benefits are paid
  • Definition of earnings – what income amount is covered (for example, if overtime or bonus amounts are included)
  • Exact definition of disability
  • Exclusions – outline what is not covered

Reviewing your employee benefits package does not need to wear you out, With our quoting and benefit review process, we make it easy for you to know that you are getting the best values for your insurance dollars. Ask us about our Human Resources services at no cost to you.
